CARE Chest began their Wellness Program in 2012 to help individuals using CARE Chest’s programs receive information on how to live healthier. With the Wellness Program, CARE Chest clients and community members are able to attend FREE workshops that can help participants introduce activity into their daily life, eat healthy on a limited income, discuss how diabetes affects their body, or learn how to manage their diabetes through nutrition and exercise. During class, clients participate in hands-on learning, activities, and learn simple terminology to better understand and improve their health.
In addition to our Workshops, CARE Chest has regularly scheduled Wellness Circles where participants can learn something new, meet new people and learn about other wellness resources available in their area. We meet on the 1st Wednesday of every month, 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. at CARE Chest.
For more information or to register for any of the courses listed, please contact
McKenzie, Project Coordinator at 829-2273 ext. 105 or email@example.com.
